Meet our team of workshop leaders for our summer creative kids programs. With a wealth of education and knowledge behind our team at Homeworks Etc, we know the impact that arts and crafts can have on the well being of both adults and kids. It can increase our confidence, help us to relax, focus on tasks and get lost in the process of creating. At Homeworks Etc we embrace the social experience of getting to know others. It's been described as a therapeutic experience that has us feeling successful with our DIY projects for children ages 6-13 years old.
Jacqueline is the founder and owner of Homeworks Etc. Her past education as a Recreation Therapist from Douglas College and hobbies as a crafter have melded two worlds in establishing her workshops for both adults and kids. In a world of Pinterest and craft ideas, she loves to take ideas, tweak them, and create NEW products, to offer her customers a fun DIY experience to take decor home to create a space that YOU love.
Jacqueline loves to spend time at the beach with her family and loves to share in a glass of wine with friends! Cheers!
Nicole has always loved to create, whether it is with paint and canvas or glass and concrete. Among doing DIY Projects, painting and home decor, she loves to be outdoors, walking, hiking and camping with her fur-baby and husband.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Education from University of Regina and began running her small business, Sand and Stone Studio, in 2015. She furthers her love for creativity and teaching at Homeworks Etc.
Christina is a mother, wife, teacher and artist. When she is not creating with her students or on her own, she is probably exploring the beach or trails throughout South Surrey and White Rock with her family. Christina graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Fine Art and a Bachelor of Education, and currently teaches visual art in the Surrey School District. Christina loves to create and teach, and hopes that her passion is contagious!
Katie graduated with her Degree in Therapeutic Recreation and currently works with Fraser Health Authority with Seniors.
In her free time she loves taking on DIY Projects to renovate her home. The challenge and the thrill of taking on these projects, makes crafting decor pieces that much more fun to decorate the inside too!
